GTM Search is recruiting a Head of Business Development for an exciting seed-stage startup in the HRtech/Rectech space.


Our client us turning every frontline job into a great one through their online community powered rating platform. Over 500,000 people have used their platform since launch in 2020 and they've rated more than 3,400 employers across the UK.


Who are we looking for?


The role will report to our CMO and be part of the marketing/revenue team. You will lead a team of 2 salespeople so some experience in recruiting and coaching will be essential. Experience in designing and executing strategic sales plans (headcount, territory management and compensation plans) would be ideal.

In addition to leading the sales team, you will be responsible for your own sales quota so you should be very comfortable leading from the front.

You’ll be responsible for selling our jobs platform to recruitment teams within large retail, hospitality and logistics companies.


So to be successful in this role, you’ll need to:

  • Have experience in selling high-value solutions in a business environment, ideally within HR, talent, recruitment or people teams.
  • Have consistently exceeded sales quotas and be able to evidence that
  • Extensive experience in new business sales
  • Monitor your team's performance and coach people to achieve our revenue targets
  • Be rigorous with sales forecasting and tracking all sales opportunities through Hubspot to build a sustainable pipeline
  • Be a hands-on problem solver who can operate effectively under healthy pressure
  • In-depth knowledge of the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Be results driven and be able to manage multiple accounts
  • Be a self-starter who is able to take initiative and not wait to be told
  • Have strong empathy and great questioning skills
  • Be flexible and very comfortable working in an ever-changing fast-paced environment
  • Be bought into our mission


Some extra things that would help but aren’t critical:

  • Experience of working within recruitment (extra points if you have sold solutions for high volume, frontline recruitment)
  • Have key stakeholders contacts within recruitment/talent or HR teams
  • Knowledge of revenue management and account profitability
  • Have experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Have worked within a fast-paced startup/scaleup environment
